We
are sponsoring a resolution through National to ‘Go Green”. Our
offices have taken the initiative to reuse paper, recycle what’s no longer
usable, and save resources whenever possible. We know it is the right thing
to do, but as we’ve gotten into it, we realize that it also saves money.
And in this economy, when every penny counts, that’s a big plus. It’s
really quite simple, almost a game, trying to make the least trips to the store,
making every thing you use do it’s job to the max, recycling paper and
folders, using the least possible amount, it all adds up to great savings and
a better tomorrow for our children.
So,
we submitted the proper forms to the National offices requesting that they get
on the ecology bus and give a ‘Go Green’ award to the chapter with
the best ‘Green’ initiative. We won’t win, mostly because
it was our idea, but we will be proud of the chapters vying for the award because
of us.
There are so many good things happening this month. But, I can’t give
you a complete report because none of them are finished. There will be lots
of news next month if all the current plans we’re making come to fruition.
