Excecutive Director

We’re starting something new and different, afternoon movies. We know some of you don’t drive at night, we know your caregivers have other things to do and you can’t stay out too late. But, we also know that few ‘military personnel (RET)’ can turn down a good action movie. So, come on down. We promise a good film, recent or maybe a ‘golden oldie’, we will even search out your requests and schedule them if they’re available. One thing I promise, if you call that morning, we’ll tell you the day’s offering and then you can decide. Snacks will be served.

I know that when you’re moving, we are probably the last thing on your mind, but, please remember you are the first and most important thing on our minds. The newsletter goes out and doesn’t come back because we use a bulk mailing rate. So, it hurts me to write this, but it’s gotta be said. If you are not getting a newsletter that we printed and mailed to you, here is the reason. It goes to your previous address because you didn’t tell us you were moving and someone there throws it away. We want you to be informed of the latest veterans news, Chapter news and a few interesting stories. Please, please don’t forget us. We go to a lot of trouble to produce a decent newsletter. (Ask the men in the office. In the five days it’s being put together that they’ve dubbed “WIM Week” I turn into the Wicked Witch of Sanford until it’s delivered to the printer.) So, please think of us before you move or after you’re in your new location. We have an 800 phone number, so even if you’re moving to Dead End, N. Dakota, call and give us your new address.
