As you see by the cover there is now a Quad Rugby team in Orlando. This is a new team with some veteran players from all over the US and Canada. We have Lewis Irvin from California, Todd Hudds from Canada. Some of us including your sports director are PVA members. We are looking forward to the up coming season. Official practice starts on 10/1. We hope to have a full roster this year. Games will be posted in the WIM so come support our team. Want to join us? We had a poker night at the office 9/1. We had 14 people for food and good conversation.
Nine of us played poker including our volunteer Debra and my wife Peggy. We
had seven members who played and Buford was kind enough to be our dealer. It
finally came down to Ken Carter and Brian Terwilliger, They threw in all their
chips for one hand and ended the battle. Ask them who won, I think they were
both winners.
We are looking for suggestions on things to do for a social family night. Having
a party for a holiday has been one. So give us your thoughts.
Ken Weas is planning
his disabled hunt in December. There are two spots still open. They won’t
last long so if you want to go call me at the office. A deposit is required.
Brian has started
planning for the Bass Tournament this summer. If you want to participate, contact
Brian or me for details.
