Strut ‘n’ Rut
The Board of Directors had a very interesting guest at the last meeting. Joe
Bukey is every inch the outdoorsman and that’s great, but he’s also
a humanitarian and that’s even better. Joe runs an outfit called Strut
‘n’ Rut.
It’s an organization dedicated to helping people of all ages who are physically
challenged or terminally ill to have an exciting outdoor experience. Hunting,
fishing, even bird watching is made possible by these people. No one needs to
be sentenced to a life of dreaming about something outdoorsy they’d like
to try. If they contact Strut ‘n’ Rut, those caring folks will do
their best to make it come true.

National’s NASCAR
To date, the National PVA Motorsports program has exceeded its budget goal.
The announced total does not include funds that were raised by Brad Keselowski
when he won the Direct TV Head to Head challenge naming PVA as his chosen charity.
Upcoming events that will benefit our national organization include the Petty
Family Foundation’s Charity Golf Classic which was held on October 10
– 11 in Charlotte, NC. PVA will also be auctioning off a #22 race winning
Discount Tire car driven by Brad Keselowski. This car was donated to PVA by
Penske Racing and it will be auctioned at Barrett Jackson, the auto auctioneers.
The sale will be in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 15-22, 2012.
