Excecutive Director

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a very fast month for me. Every thing is falling into place. I would first like to send out a very deeply appreciated thank you to all who donated money for the children’s Christmas funds. We have raised over $1200.00 in two weeks. The donations are still coming in. It is great to see how big the hearts are of our members and associates.

Also, thanks to the hard work of our members and volunteers, our outreach program is really taking off. We have been involved in a couple of seminars and projects that are going on at the VA and Out Patient Clinics. Jim Trago and Belton Smith attended a Prostatic clinic in Gainesville. The positive feed back that we received was incredible. There was a Health care Expo in Orlando that everyone on the Board attended. It was a very strong showing from our Chapter. Ben Ritter from Florida Gulf Coast chapter made an appearance as well.

On Veterans Day, Steve Kirk attended a late afternoon luncheon at a Corporation based in Sanford to explain the life of being in a wheelchair and what the Paralyzed Veterans do to help Veterans with a spinal cord injury. Steve received a $ 250.00 donation for the chapter. Peggy and I participated in an event in Gainesville to raise money for the Fisher House that will be built in the near further. The donations came pouring in.

We are currently working on some fund raising ideas and some sporting events.
