Get Recommended Screening Tests and Immunizations
Most
Veterans, regardless of age, gender, health status and family history, should
be screened for alcohol abuse, depression, high blood pressure, HIV, military
sexual trauma, obesity, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and tobacco use. Most
Veterans should receive a flu shot every year and tetanus shot once every 10
years.

Orlando
VA Selects New Chief
Steve
Sabol was selected as the new chief of police July 31. Chief Sabol came to the
Orlando VA from the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where he was
the Chief of Police.
He
stated “It is an honor to be selected as the chief of police for the corporate
Orlando VA Medical Center!” He went on to say that this is an outstanding
opportunity for him and his family. “We love Florida and the challenges
of opening a brand new state-of-the-art medical center.” “In my
new position, I will continue to lead, challenge, and develop!”
The
Orlando VA Medical Center Police Service has 43 officers and support staff on
its roster and now one of them is the chief of police.
